DAY 1 - Check on your family
This ECQ may have made us socially distant, but it won't stop us from checking on our own families in the process. We may feel so caught up with reaching out to charitable institutions but subliminally neglect our own family. Send them a message now asking if they still have food stock or alcohol. Make a plan to send them available things from your home via delivery apps.
DAY 2 - Check your social media groups
We may be part of local communities like Carpool groups or bike-exchange groups. Whatever it is, now's the best time to post a "How are you?" message to know what's going on and to reach out when necessary
DAY 3 - Help your community by connecting to your barangay
If you don't know your local leaders yet, this is a great time to look for them on social media. Follow their efforts and be vigilant in offering the kind of help they need. The first thing you can do is to simply send them a message reporting factual information - or specifying the kind of help your community needs. They may not reply at once, but rest assured that they will see your post and respond the soonest they become available
DAY 4 - Send points
If you haven't yet, open your GRAB app or GLOBE REWARDS app to know how you can donate your stored up points to our frontliners and other people in need.
DAY 5 - Post encouraging words
We cannot deny that current news and figures make us all feel down. While we want to stay connected with reality, we all need to cling onto the hope that any adverse situations will soon come to an end. We need you to encourage others during the process.
DAY 6 - Share factual content
We have the responsibility to our own community by verifying the information we share. The least we want to happen is to feed false information to our friends.
DAY 7 - Start your own campaigns
If you have the idea, the friends, and the means, put your plan into action. Look around your home for available resources you can use! For instance, if you have bikes or a van available, consider volunteering for the next grocery run for a max of five families. This way, you can help limit their exposure outside. What other ways do you think you could do to help? Share it with us!
A small act of kindness goes a a long way! Right now, you can help save more lives by staying indoors and doing your part to share some love at home!
