Empire East takes further steps into a greener future by joining the La Mesa Watershed and Bantay Kalikasan’s effort under the #1MillionTreeChallenge.

Company employees set out to La Mesa Nature Reserve last August 2 and planted about 400 Malapapaya seeds, said to have 100% growth rate in three years, to fuel the vision of preserving the last forest of Metro Manila.

“We believe that our involvement in these activities will create a major impact on the lives of people and the environment,” says Senior Vice President Evelyn Cacho.

Empire East has spent 25 years in the industry bringing nature into every condo development.

“We recognize the nurturing beauty and effect of natural elements into city homes. This is why we allot open spaces and gardens into our condos to make sure we create communities that are conducive to health and overall well-being of our residents,” says Empire East President and CEO Atty. Anthony Charlemagne Yu.

With this vision and purpose in mind, the company is glad to reach out to like-minded organizations to contribute to the realization of this preservation - even in cities where the company does not have condo developments.

“The tree-planting event was a beautiful experience. Especially, as a mother, I realized that my child would be sheltered in the future even by the time I’m gone,” explains a tree-planting participant. “I can ensure that my child and other children will be okay.”

Empire East is actively conducting pocket outreach programs this year in fulfillment of its thrust of “building unparalleled communities” in the metro.
