QUEZON CITY, Philippines - Days before the celebration of Empire East's 25th anniversary, select employees visited Gentle Hands, Inc., a social Christian welfare agency based in Quezon City, who frontlines in rescuing at-risk children. This is part of the company's mission to lend a hand, share some love, and make a difference in the lives of people in various communities across the country.

The team firmly believes that the early stage of life is as vital as all others, and to be able to share the things that the young ones have will always be worth it.

This day began with a shared prayer, followed by icebreaker activities that involved singing, dancing, and games. It is evident on the faces of these children that they truly yearn for fun moments like this if it means making new friends and having more reasons to smile.

Finally, the kids received simple gifts as a reminder of the fun day they shared with their ates and kuyas.

But just as everyone thought it was time to go, right after the gift-giving activity, an employee was able to recognize one of the children who looked like the child of her neighbor that got lost a few months back.

This great news enabled the team to arrange a meet-up between the child and the parents to finally confirm if he truly is the one they are looking for.

What a great way to wrap up a memorable visit!

UPDATE:

The child was confirmed to be the lost son of the employee's neighbor and is now back home.
