CAPAS, TARLAC -- Empire East went all-out for a pocket CSR activity conducted at Capas, Tarlac as they give gifts, toys, food, and share the gift of music to the students of Calangitan Elementary School on November 22, 2019.

Most of the students from CES belong to indigenous groups, particularly Aetas, who are born in Tarlac, while the teachers are volunteers from different parts of the town. Their faces lit up the moment the Empire East salesforce arrived at their school. They also managed to prepare a dance number for their visitors along with their warm welcome and contagious smiles.

The program started with an opening prayer led by one of the head teachers, followed by welcome remarks by Ms. Loreta C. Razon, the principal of CES. Chosen representatives from the Empire East team performed a song number to get in the mood for Christmas and to set the spirit of the kids.

After the first part of the program, the salespeople joined selected students in a jolly dance number. Everyone grooved to the beat of Zumba music despite the scorching heat of the sun. This is followed by role-playing, which aims to re-enact a scene from the Bible. To share the word of God through various platforms like dancing, singing, and acting, is one of the goals of this pocket CSR.

A series of games and a magic show also entertained the kids while they wait for their food. They exclaimed laughter as they watch their teachers and visitors battle for a bunch of treats. This party-themed event’s objective is to let the kids know how it feels to celebrate and to have fun through various activities, which they don’t often experience in their usual setting.

Before the program ends, Empire East reps distributed some snacks for the kids to enjoy. They also distributed toys, slippers, gift bags, and even sports materials that they can use for their classes.

Empire East believes that children deserve equal access to education and the right to enjoy their childhood while they explore learning through different approaches like arts and music. This is achieved through initiating various CSR activities that reach out to its neighboring communities.
